Hello, I’m Lizzie
I’m Lizzie, the person behind LP Wedding Planning - and I’m here to make planning your wedding feel exciting, enjoyable and far less overwhelming.
With more than 15 years of experience in weddings and events, I offer thoughtful, friendly and expertly organised wedding planning across Essex and Suffolk. Whether you are at the very beginning of your engagement, need an experienced wedding coordinator to bring everything together, or simply want a trusted professional beside you on the day, I’ll help you create a celebration that feels completely like you.
Based close to Sudbury on the Suffolk–Essex border, I work with couples throughout Essex, Suffolk and the surrounding areas. My approach is relaxed, personal and practical: plenty of creativity, calm reassurance and a keen eye for every important detail. My Wedding Journey
After studying Event Management at university, I began my career in weddings and events at a beautiful country house venue in South Wales. From there, I was lucky enough to build experience at a variety of 4- and 5-star venues across the UK—from Scotland to Guernsey.
Much of my background is venue-based, which has given me a valuable behind-the-scenes understanding of exactly what it takes to create a brilliant wedding day. I have also worked closely with caterers, venues and a wide range of wedding suppliers, so I understand the many moving parts that need to come together seamlessly.
That experience now shapes everything I do as an Essex and Suffolk wedding planner. I know how to keep plans moving, communicate clearly with suppliers, anticipate the details that are easy to miss, and find solutions when something unexpected comes up.
Planning With Personality
I genuinely believe that no wedding should feel like a production line. Your day should reflect your story, your priorities and the people you love most.
No idea is too big, no question is too small and I rarely see “no” as the end of the conversation. I love exploring thoughtful options, finding imaginative solutions and helping couples make decisions with confidence. From venue research and supplier recommendations to timelines, styling guidance, wedding-day coordination and those last-minute “have we forgotten something?” moments, I’m here to make the process feel lighter.
I’m also passionate about helping couples make considered choices. If sustainable ideas, local suppliers, lower-waste details or meaningful alternatives are important to you, I’ll happily help you build them into your plans in a way that still feels beautiful and personal.
More Than a Planner
In 2022, I also began offering specialist support to wedding-industry professionals. Working with venues, suppliers and fellow wedding businesses has strengthened my understanding of the industry from every angle—and it means I bring a well-rounded, informed perspective to every wedding I plan.
But at the heart of LP Wedding Planning is a simple aim: to give you the space to enjoy your engagement, feel supported throughout the planning process and be fully present on your wedding day.
I’m also a mum of one, a devoted romance-novel reader, and a firm believer that very few problems cannot be improved with a cup of tea and a slice of cake.
